The litigation power is the document Spanish courts require for a court agent and lawyer to act on your behalf. It is needed in:
- Civil claims and debt recovery

Frequently asked questions about the power of attorney for litigation
Do I need to name the specific proceeding?
Not necessarily. A general litigation power lets your professionals act in any proceeding; we can limit it to one if you prefer.
Can I include several lawyers or court agents?
Yes. It is common to name several to cover substitutions or different cities.
Will any court accept it?
Yes. It is a public deed with an electronic authorised copy and CSV, as valid as one signed in a physical notary's office.
Who can sign by video call?
Adults holding a valid Spanish DNI or NIE and a digital certificate. We cannot serve clients without a Spanish ID document. Each procedure allows a maximum of 4 signatories.
Do I need a digital certificate?
Yes, to sign electronically. If you don't have one, we help you obtain it before your appointment.
How long does it take?
Within 24 hours of receiving your documentation and payment we confirm the day and time of your appointment; the video call takes place on the agreed date. The electronic document is normally delivered within 24 hours of signing.
How do I receive the document?
Electronically, with a Secure Verification Code (CSV) and full legal validity. You can download it, print it and present it wherever you need.
